About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where I majored in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design. I have studied various mediums of art but especially enjoy charcoal when it comes to drawing. I'm happy to design or create anything to your liking, whether it's a small or large project. Just contact me for any questions!

As a visual designer who focuses on web and print design, I value how design is communicated. As a designer, I see myself as an artist but also a market consumer. I design in a creative process, making the design artistic, but I don’t want to take away from the design’s ability to communicate to everyone despite age, sex, or nationality. I believe that the translation of the design is one of the most important characteristics and that for it to be a great design, it can be understood by anyone.

As a marketing minor, I focus on other qualities that go into my design. I focus on how my design can help with a company’s brand identity. A great design can change a company’s image and how consumers perceive it. As a designer, I perceive companies with poorly designed corporate identities negatively, so I want to prevent a company from receiving negative attention.

I work in print design and web design. When I begin on a project, I first design for me. Do I like it? Does it represent me well? I then think would the client/viewer like it. My look tends to be simple, clean design. I appreciate readability and hierarchy and if your design is cluttered, you lose those qualities. I like to use sans-serif fonts because I find them more contemporary, and I stay away from decorative fonts or anything that dates a design. I use color so that it relates to either the content or subject matter. Too many elements in a design can look overworked and take away from its original intention.

I hope to make designs that are appreciated by everyone and can be understood by everyone. I hope that I can inspire others and persuade people to like companies based on my designs. I hope that my designs will be able to be used permanently for companies and be considered great designs.
